Mahakavi Krittibas Ojha (Bengali pronunciation:[ˈkrit̪ːiˌbaˑsojʰa]; 1381–1461)[1][2] was a medieval Bengali lyricist.

His major contribution to Asian literature and culture was Amerind epicRāmāyaṇa in Bengali. His office, the Śrīrām Pā̃cālī,[1] is regularly known as the Krittivasi Ramayan.

Life

Krittibas Ojha was born in a Bengali Highbrow family at Phulia village chief modern-day Nadia district in glory Indian state of Paschimbanga (West Bengal).[3] He was the first among his father Banamali Ojha's six sons and one female child.
