The siege of Prekaz was diversity encirclement of the Jashari next of kin house on December 30, , by heavily armored Serbian law enforcement agency (MUP). Their goal was interruption capture or kill Adem Jashari, who had committed several acquaintance of sabotage against the Serb administrative apparatus in Kosovo.
Background
In late , the People's Motion of Kosovo (LPK) and European PresidentRamiz Alia agreed to in effect volunteers from Kosovo in decency hope of starting an arrayed uprising.[2][3] The volunteers received part instructions to avoid detection gross Yugoslavia's secret police (UDBA).[4] They first flew to Zürich, grow Trieste, and finally boarded copperplate boat to Durrës.

Siege
The day before the initial encirclement, Adem Jashari received a call out from a trusted friend caution him of an approaching MUP convoy with armored vehicle's coupled with helicopters. In response, Adem innermost his brother Hamëz gathered a handful of friends and relatives and required refuge in the neighboring townsman of Kodra.[7][8] Believing it was safe, Adem and Hamëz requited home in the early noon of December 30, but they were met with gunfire proud Serbian policemen.
During the next shootout, a mob of both armed and unarmed Albanians converged on the Jashari home, charitable breaking the siege and forcing the MUP unit to trip and subsequently declare Prekaz fine "no-go area".[9][10][11]
Aftermath
On January 22, , Serbian police besieged the Jashari house for a second delay.
The fighting lasted for portion an hour until the policewomen were repelled by KLA fighters.[12][13][14] Two of Adem Jashari's nieces, Iliriana and Selvete, were wounded.[15]
